The New York Christmas Belles London based close-harmony 1940’s Vintage Group, full of fun and Christmas cheer!
In springtime 1944, 3 New York City broads moved to London, England as part of the war effort and have been making waves ever since. With their captivating close-harmony singing, charming choreography and comedic banter there is no stopping these gals. They go by the name ‘New York Belles’.
As well as performing there in 2014, the ‘New York Belles’ have performed on BBC radio, at Ronnie Scott’s and have been featured in the London Evening Standard.
The ‘New York Belles’ are made up of Lois ‘Legs’ Laurelle, Dolores DeMoochy and Rita Roo Rossiter. Engaged to their agent Mickey Maloney, Lois is a born optimist and natural flirt, this curvaceous songbird will put a smile on anyone’s face. Dolores hails fromthe Bronx and is one feisty gal. As well as an on/off dalliance with Cary Grant ,Dolores is a gifted tap dancer. Last but not least, Rita is one heck of a classy lady and a keen flutist and is hoping one day to for fill her dream of marrying a movie director. Who needs the Andrews Sisters when the ‘New York Belles’ are in town?
